Sherpa 1.Spraying Drone: Quick Start Guide

How to setup, battery installation, connect your controller, and take your first flight!

A concise, step-by-step reference for safely setting up, flying, and maintaining your Sherpa 1.5 Cleaning Drone.


1  Unboxing & Initial Inspection

  1. Open the case by releasing the front and side latches.

  2. Verify all items are present and undamaged:

    • Sherpa 1.5 Drone

    • Controller (inside its own case)

    • 2 cleaning nozzles (in lid cut-out)

    • Repair kit with nozzle tips

    • Radar module (bubble-wrapped, zip-tied to front payload)

Inspect for shipping damage: cracks, loose screws, bent propellers, or controller defects. If anything looks wrong, do not power on—contact Lucid Bots Support.


2  Install the Radar Module

  1. Cut the zip-ties and remove the bubble wrap.

  2. Align the radar on the top-front corner (three empty bolt holes).

  3. Secure with the three supplied bolts using the 2.5 mm T-handle.


3  Batteries & Charger

3.1 Inspect

  • Check each battery for swelling, cracks, or dented casings.

  • Inspect charger screen, buttons, and cables.

3.2 Charge

  1. Use the Tattu TA3200 charger.

  2. Plug the battery’s main connector into the charger.

  3. Press-and-hold “Charge” → charging starts automatically.

  4. Charger beeps and shows “Done” when finished.

  5. For long-term storage (> 3 days), connect balance cables → select Storage Mode → press Start.


4  Drone Setup

  1. Unfold the arms until they lock.

  2. Deploy GPS antennas: push forward, lift upright, then push down to lock.

  3. Remove and store foam prop guards.

  4. Ensure propellers are fully extended.

  5. Connect ground-rig hose to bottom quick-connect.

  6. Attach desired cleaning nozzle to front quick-connect.

Safe Take-off Area

  • Flat surface, no incline.

  • ≥ 30 ft clear of people/vehicles.

  • No overhead obstructions (power lines, branches).


5  Battery Installation

  1. Undo Velcro straps.

  2. Seat batteries flat, leads facing out.

  3. Re-secure Velcro.

  4. Plug in battery leads → drone beeps, motors twitch.


6  Controller & Software

  1. Power on: tap once, then hold power button until chime.

  2. Verify Land Mode (slider above screen).

  3. Open Auterion Mission Control (AMC).

  4. Controller LED → solid green when linked.

  5. Tap video window to confirm FPV feed.


7. Take-Off & Flight Controls

  • Ensure all personnel are at least 30 ft away from the drone.

  • Slide the center switch to Position Mode.

  • Confirm green RTK status is showing (check satellite count at the top of the screen).

  • Verify compass heading in the bottom-right of the screen:

    • Use your phone’s compass app as a reference.

    • Point the top of your phone in the same direction as the Sherpa’s nozzle.

    • The heading on the controller should be within ±15° of your phone’s reading.
  • Confirm that “vehicle 1” is highlighted green

Take-off

  • Move left stick inward & down to Arm.

  • Push left stick up fully → climb to ≥ 10 ft.

Manual landing: ease left stick down, avoid looping hose; hold stick down after touchdown until “Disarmed”.

9  Post-Flight Shutdown

  1. Turn pump OFF.

  2. Relieve hose pressure via ball valve; disconnect hose.

  3. Unplug & remove batteries.

  4. Re-fit foam prop guards; fold arms; stow in case.


10  Maintenance & Storage

  • Remove batteries before cleaning.

  • Rinse motors with clean water; spin by hand.

  • Neutralize chemical residue on drone.

  • Allow full air-dry before storage.

  • Store batteries in Storage Mode voltage if unused > 3 days.


11  Final Notes

  • Complete the online Sherpa Academy course before commercial use.
